While defending:
- TH destroyed = NO shield
- 30% destruction = 12 hour shield
- 60% destruction = 14 hour shield
- 90%+ destruction = 16 hour shield
- Shield only given IF 50% of attacking army is used (based on the defender's TH level)
While attacking:
- You can attack while under a shield
- Searching for an attack does NOT reduce shield time
- An attack during a shield will reduce the shield, NOT cancel it (3 hours first attack, increasing for further attacks)

About Village Guard (VG):
- During VG you CANNOT be attacked, the same as when you are online
- Free VG time activates every time a shield expires (see below for duration)
- Each day 2 hours of extra VG can be purchased from the shop (10 gems, 23 hour cooldown)
- VG can be dismissed at any time, to enable you to take a Defense
- Buying a shield will dismiss an active VG
Personal Break Timer (PBT) / Normal Play Session:
- New rules to reset PBT
- Forced offline for 6 minutes after 3 hours, can be extended (see below PBT Reset Rules)
- Can be extended by 2 hours by purchasing Village Guard (once per day)
- PBT is paused during server maintenance, NOT reset
Automatic free VG when shield expires:
- 15 minutes = Champions I and below
- 1 hour = Titan III
- 2 hours = Titan II
- 3 hours = Titan I & Legend
3 hour PBT resets by:
- PBT Reset with No VG = after a defence resulting in a shield
- PBT Reset with No VG = after no defences in 3 hours (offline player)
- 1st PBT Extension **** = after no defence during 6-minute force break or after a defence resulting in no shield
- 2nd PBT Extension **** = after no defence during the 2nd successive 6-minute force break or after a 2nd successive defence resulting in no shield
- PBT Reset with VG (based on League) = after no defence during the 3rd successive 6-minute force break or after a 3rd successive defence resulting in no shield
**** PBT + VG extended by 15 minutes (time to reload traps / CC)

Loot distribution:
- Destroying TH = Winning more Loot
- Destroying TH earns loot worth of 1 Gold & Elixir storage + 1/4 Dark Elixir Storage (total loot unchanged and evenly distributed with storages)
- TH & Clan Castle are now a resource building = Goblins do double damage
- Available loot % increased (TH6 thru TH10)
- Less loot available from attacking lower TH level
Matchmaking:
- Multiplayer matchmaking less likely to offer targets at two TH level difference (below Champions League)
League bonus changes:
- All League Bonuses have been increased
- League Bonus progressively given based on % damage, more damage more bonus
- 50% damage = 80% of League Bonus
- 70% damage = 100% of League Bonus
Trophy rebalancing at higher Leagues
- Trophy offers from lower players increased (e.g. minimum +6 instead of +1 at Titan I and Legend)
- Trophy offers from higher players decreased (e.g. +48 instead of +56 at Titan I and Legend)
- All other leagues remain unchanged
